Armenians are, arguably, one of the rare peoples in the world who name their children after the heroes — and even the author — of William Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet.” This is an alternative drama built on the motifs of the famous tragedy. It presents the reflections of our contemporaries on the connections between the Danish court and today’s reality, on struggle and revolutions. Personal stories and reflections are interspersed with young actor Hamlet Ghazaryan’s attempts to portray “Hamlet” on the stage of an abandoned theater.
