This documentary represents the untold story of the Armenian repatriates who, having just begun to rebuild their lives in their long-awaited homeland, were torn from it once again. In the early hours of June 14, 1949, Stalin ordered the deportation of 15,000 Soviet Armenians to Siberia’s Altai region — sending many who had only just found refuge in Armenia into years, sometimes a decade, of frozen exile.
